Sounds From The Basement

LØST REFLECTION x JOSHUA HARRY HALL

It’s a rare thing for 3 minds to drift aimlessly in to the void with a table of synths, drum machines, & effect pedals while maintaining cohesion, let alone touch down on other worlds then bring it back to earth. Seems to’ve been the case though when Løst Reflexion & Joshua played an improvised set in memory of Guillaume, their friend and founding member of techno collective Cat House Melbourne, during a 12 hour event raising funds for his family.

ST DYMPHNA

Woah.. when someone walks out of the booth saying it was their second gig, and it was this good, you take notice. This is the notice:

DJ.Brigida0.png

DJ BRIGIDA

Activist/anarchist and DJ powerhouse Deejay Brigida bends the scope of rave through breakbeat, grime, & techno. Luckily she’s just as at home in the club as they are in illegal underground settings, basically blowing up the club last time they were down - here’s the proof:

C.FRIM0 (1).png

C.FRIM

Busting in to the booth out of the dark with a ski mask & ripping the basement open-air to an unsuspecting audience, C.Frim absolutely overshadowed a stacked lineup for our 5th birthday. Tipped off by the minds behind Overpast, we slotted Frim right in the middle of the night as a left-hook to great effect - think the block-party from a J-Lo clip thrown in to Blade’s blood rave. One to watch.
